2015-2016 Safety Officers

Safety is very important to our team. All members and mentors are encourage to watch each other and give reminders, if they see any problems during shop time or at competitions. Our training program has three parts: 1) general safety rules that apply to using any tool in the shop, 2) machine specific training where they have to get 100% on all safety quizzes and complete hands-on training, and 3) Basic first aid/CPR training for when things go wrong.

2011 hands on trainingAll 1st and 2nd year members must pass the nine required online machine tests prior to the hands-on training. 3rd and 4th year members teach the hands-on training and are required to complete training on the more complex tools. If a team member needs to use one of the optional tools, they must complete that quiz and a mentor must pass them on a hands-on review prior to using it.
